Will
Hazel
is a practicing tax attorney with twenty years of private practice and
government service, and is a partner of the Boston law firm of Chu, Ring
& Hazel LLP. Will formerly was a partner at Bingham McCutchen LLP
and was the Acting General Counsel of the Massachusetts Department of
Revenue during 1996. Will entered the Qualified Intermediary
business in 1998; he has overseen more than one thousand Section 1031
Exchanges, and has testified as an expert witness on Section 1031
exchanges in Federal Court.
Will is a graduate of
Bridgewater State College and Boston College Law School, and has earned
the Federation of Exchange Accommodators 'Certified Exchange Specialist'
designation.

Jim
Livesey
has spent the past eight years as Vice President of Business Development
in the Section 1031 Exchange Qualified Intermediary industry. He
closed his first 1031 Exchange in 1992 when he managed a $500 million
portfolio of commercial aircraft and vessels for an equipment leasing
company. Jim has instructed more than 300 Section 1031 exchange
continuing education classes for real estate brokers and accountants in
Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York during the past 8 years.
Jim received a BA in
Economics from Stonehill College and an MBA with a concentration in
finance from Boston College. He is a licensed real estate broker.
